We’re head over heels in love with Edeniste. The scents are some of the most beautiful we’ve ever tried – if you’re in London, do pop into Harrods (where Edeniste launched exclusively) and indulge yourself inhaling the six ravishing Eau de Parfums and the revolutionary, mood-enhancing Lifeboost essences (there are six of these, too). Alternatively, visit the fabulous 'Edeniste Feel Good Lab’ pop-up at Harvey Nichols.

The perfumes smell divine – and so will you – but that’s just one part of the Edeniste concept. The aim of the fascinating and very engaging founder Audrey Semeraro (more about her here) is to give you a scientifically proven way of feeling good too, by partnering your chosen Eau de Parfum with a Lifeboost wellbeing essence.

As Jo (co-founder of The Perfume Society) says, ‘Most of us instinctively feel that fragrance can shift our mood as well as making us smell gorgeous.’ Think of the wave of joy that fills your mind when you bury your nose in a scented rose or lily of the valley. Or smell the coffee, new mown grass – or a fresh-baked batch of fairy cakes. Smell is so potent that even long buried, emotional memories can be resurrected by a sudden whiff of a trigger scent.

Of our five senses, smell – the olfactory sense – is the one most directly and intimately connected with the brain and our emotions. Neuroscientists have been working on these connections for decades, and essential oils have long been used in aromatherapy. But until Audrey, fizzing with passion and determination, came into the arena, no one had combined fine perfume – the fragrance equivalent of haute couture – with a scientifically proven way to enhance your state of mind.

As well as leading neuroscientists, Audrey partnered with Japanese fragrance company Takasago, which had been researching the impact of smells and fragrances on emotions since the 1980s. As Audrey explains, ‘for the first time in fine fragrance, the two noses I chose to work with – Aurélien Guichard and Jérôme di Marino - matched our research and the neuroscience of emotion with the art of perfumery, selecting the raw materials and olfactive molecules whose scent had been shown to best evoke a given mood in our olfactory memory’.

For this exclusive prize draw, Edeniste are giving Beauty Bible readers the chance to win a fullsize Eau de Parfum in Neroli Sensuel, worth £130, plus a Lifeboost Energy essence, worth £68, designed to revive and invigorate you.

Neroli essential oil comes from sunkissed orange blossom, here paired with pear, white peach and lemon. It’s so warm, caressing and luminous, you're instantly transported to the brightness of the Mediterranean – instead of shivering dismally in a muddy, cold, windy England. All the eaux de parfum contain a patented de-stress accord, by the way, to bring down your cortisol levels and calm your mind.

The Lifeboost essences are all researched to the hilt in what Audrey calls the Feel Good Fragrance Lab and, from our own experience, we promise you Energy is olfactory magic. The sparkling Italian citrus notes, boosted with ginger absolute from Ethiopia with jasmine and rose, on a base of musk, amber and cedarwood, are whizzing straight into our brains as we type, perking up mind and body. Actually, just make that feeling happier – calmer, more optimistic, with more get up and get going! NB you need to inhale the scent, so we spray just beneath the chin, or into palms and cup around our noses - and breathe….

So do fill in this little form below now, please – your chance to win one of those ten Edeniste duos, each worth £198.
