Who is Jo Malone?
Jo Malone has a very heart-warming back story, from when she made scented soap as a young girl with flowers from her garden and grated soap, to starting her business with her husband in her late teens. With a background in floristry and beauty, her products were born as a natural marriage of the two. The range includes an extensive array of bath, body, and home products. All designed to stimulate your senses and smell exquisite.
In 1994 the first store was opened in London's famous South Molton Street in the West End. The company has grown massively and now has hundreds of stores across the world. Jo Malone perfume is synonymous with style, class, and elegance and its essential Britishness gives it appeal to natives of the UK but is also well loved by people globally that want to experience a sense of the smells and scents native to the UK's incomparable countryside.
Who owns Jo Malone?
Not only is Jo Malone a master of perfumery, she is also a savvy businesswoman. In 1999 she sold the business to The Estee Lauder Group, for an undisclosed sum. She stayed on as a creative director/chairperson and then sold up fully in 2006. She wasn't out of the fragrance space for long though, launching her new company Jo Loves in 2011.
