| Mallorca or Majorca as it's also known as is the biggest island in the beautiful and highly popular Balearic Islands and Magaluf is one of the most mature resorts, playing host to hundreds of thousands of sun-seekers every year. |

I stayed at Sol Magaluf Park in June 2009 for 7 nights with my partner. We are both early twenties but not just out for nightlife. After booking this hotel we found quite a few bad reviews on the internet so were a little anxious as to what to expect. I am glad to say that it was a really great hotel.
The hotel itself was lovely; a nice size, very clean and in a great location for all of the bars. The pools were a good size (indoors and out) and there were plenty sun beds for everyone; there is also a terrace if you prefer a bit of privacy.
The room was basic as expected, the maids called every day and came back later if you were still in the room. All rooms have a balcony to sit out on, ceiling fans and air conditioning. All the staff seemed friendly and approachable, with most staff speaking good English. The only thing that we found is that because we went half board for a week the food did get a little repetitive.
The first few days in the restaurant were brilliant, there was a wide variety of meals and we really enjoyed it. It was just the last couple of days that we had had enough of the food but there was nothing actually wrong with it.
There is a really nice Italian restaurant near to the hotel which was a nice change. The entertainment in the hotel was good, and the entertainers were friendly. The main thing that I was really disappointed with was our rep. We booked with first choice and the rep seemed like she needed winding up. We never normally attend the welcome meeting but as the rep at the airport had said you can get a discount card from your rep for local bars we thought we would have a look. We turned up and she was half asleep and not interested in anything at all.
I only saw 1 cockroach and that was on the last night on the balcony. A note to remember, if you are flying home in the morning then speak to the hotel and apparently they will open the restaurant for you for early breakfast. (We discovered this after.) Make sure your transfer bus turns up on time by phoning the number on your tickets as ours didn’t turn up at all and we had a nightmare getting to the plane on time! Magaluf is a great resort for all ages, and we will definitely go there again. It did seem however a little more aimed towards stags and hens so I’ll definitely be going for my hen weekend. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
